Not only doesFavorite Bay Lodgeprovide visiting anglers with world-class salmon fishing in Alaska, but you’ll have the rare opportunity to hike, kayak, whale watch, and trap crabs on arguably the prettiest island in North America. Before boarding a plane headed for Angoon, Alaska, we recommend learning more about the upcoming fishing season by reading further.

What to Bring / What to Leave at Home

Luckily for you,Favorite Bay Lodgeprovides all anglers with the fishing essentials, including all bait, tackle, and gear, so leave your rods, rubber boots, rain jackets, and waders at home. It’s a good idea, however, to bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, extra layers, and a waterproof camera. You won’t have to lug an insulated fish box to the lodge because we provide complimentary fish processing, including filleting, vacuum-sealing, flash-freezing, and packaging.

Marvelous Salmon Fishing in Alaska

Fishing lodges that offer above-average salmon fishing in Alaska are a dime a dozen, butFavorite Bay Lodge’s group of fishing guides have been drifting through these waters their whole lives. We only hire locals, so you’ll only be visiting meticulously-researched freshwaterANDsaltwater honey holes. Each group of anglers will have the ability to reel in all five species of wild Pacific salmon, a wide variety of delicious, colorful rockfish, and monster barn-door halibut. For those who desire a secluded freshwater fishing experience, you’ll be led to Admiralty Island’s best streams to battle spawning salmon and several trout species. Oftentimes, the only way to reach these streams is via kayak or canoe, which adds an extra element of adventure. Depending on the location, we’ll be using both fly rod and ultra-light spinning gear.
