If you’re looking for the ultimate fishing getaway, there’s no better home base than Favorite Bay Lodge. For years, anglers have come to this Admiralty Island lodge for the best fishing vacations in Southeast Alaska. Surrounded by stunning wilderness, our resort is the ideal destination for all outdoor lovers. No matter what type of fishing you’re looking for, from saltwater to freshwater, you’ll find an all-inclusive trip that fits the bill.
Step 1: Research Your Fishing Options
While our location is off the beaten track, you are surrounded by phenomenal fishing spots only minutes away. The waters near our lodge are home to five species of Wild Pacific Salmon, rockfish, halibut, and more.
The type of fish you may catch can vary depending on the time of year. Peak silver salmon season begins around July, while those looking to catch halibut will want to visit starting at the end of June. Knowing when the highest concentration of a species occurs, you can better select your fishing vacation dates.
Step 2: Reserve Your Accommodations
After determining what time of year you want to fish, you need to book your stay with us. Our lodge features 12 individually designed and creatively appointed rooms. All rooms feature lodge pole furnishings, comfortable bedding, and spacious showers. All this combines to create cozy spaces, perfect for resting up after a long day of fishing.
Step 3: Pack and Head Out on a Memorable Getaway
Once all the prep work is done, all that’s left to do is pack. However, planning Alaska fishing vacations with us means some significant ticket items. We provide:

- Bait
- Gear, including jacks, rubber boots, and pants.
We also provide you with a gourmet boxed lunch and will process your catches.
